You can choose your major as late as your sophomore year, which gives you time to explore what you truly enjoy. When reviewing applications, schools consider previous academic results, as well as recommendations from teachers and others.
Application deadlines are about a year before enrollment, and the entire application process takes at least six months. To be fully prepared, you should start in your junior year of high school, at least one and a half years before starting university.
